Improved search function suggests search terms on www.ecoi.net

Example: The COI Thesaurus on ecoi.net suggests search terms during a search for 'elections' in Armenia.

A new search interface enhances access to information on www.ecoi.net, the portal for information on conditions in countries of origin of refugees and asylum seekers. ecoi.net is run by ACCORD, a department of the Austrian Red Cross. It gathers information on the political and humanitarian situation as well as on human rights, security and health care.

With the help of a specially developed bilingual Thesaurus, ecoi.net's search engine automatically considers German and English synonyms and near synonyms of your search terms.

In addition to that, we now introduce a "Moderated Search", which helps you to narrow down or to broaden your search. Whenever you search for a word included in the COI Thesaurus, the Moderated Search suggests broader, narrower and related terms.
