Developing Capacity in New EU and Candidate Countries
After the success of the previous ECHO funded Project "Prepare to Respond", we are now partnering with RedR UK again to launch the second phase of "Prepare to Respond II". Co-funded by European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid Department (ECHO), the Austrian Red Cross and RedR UK, the programme offers affordable opportunities for humanitarian aid workers to further develop their skills to respond to disasters both in Europe and around the world.
A unique new series of training programme together with organizational development components such as placements, study visits, and consultancy services, will be offered to support humanitarian aid workers working in Humanitarian Civil Society Organisations in the new EU member states and candidate countries to enhance and increase their preparedness and response capacities.
The programme caters for all knowledge levels with training appropriate for individuals beginning a career within the sector, as well as courses for experienced relief workers looking to develop specialist skills.
Diverse programmes and methodologies, skilled facilitators and international groups of 20 participants, each with different skills and experiences, will provide an ideal training environment.
