Teaming Up for Civil Protection - Team CP
... is a project co-founded by European Commission with the aim of providing public information, education and awareness rising on civil protection to EU citizens. It is coordinated by Austrian Red Cross with help of its project partners, British Red Cross, German Red Cross, Polish Red Cross and Hitradio Ö3.
Key elements are the development of a “web 2.0” platform for communication, managing and training of convergent volunteers as well as designing a ready-to use media campaign in the partner countries to attract people to help in a team in case of disaster.
In this way the project can contribute to minimise the effects of emergencies on EU citizens and to provide knowledge and structures which may help them to protect themselves more effectively.

We are proud to announce the launch of “Team MV” initiative in Mecklenburg Western-Pomerania, Germany. This is a great success for the project, since it gave the right impulses to go beyond the concepts and acutally implement an initiative.
The project was successfully finished on 31st January 2011. This site stays online as project documentation. [to the results]
