Young athletes promote Olympic values inside and outside the sports arena
Catherine Elvinger, a 16 year-old athlete from Luxembourg, started to ski when she was only four. “When I was little, I remember I was fascinated by olympians, and I used to look at them with a mixture of awe and admiration,” she says.
A dozen years later, Catherine – now a seasoned alpine skier – carries the flag of her country on the stage of Begisel stadium at the opening of the 1st Youth Winter Olympic Games.
