WASH Days

This is a new event format primarily aimed at the WASH Pool of the Austrian Red Cross.

Over the weekend, there will be time for updates, networking, short training sessions, and discussions. Social interaction will also be a key focus. Our goal is to strengthen WASH activities within the Red Cross by bringing together, at a regularly basis, as many people as possible who are active in this field at various levels.

General Information

The event will take place from Friday 6 November at 17:00 until Sunday 8 November at 14:00 at the Brigittenau Youth Hostel in Vienna’s 20th district. Accommodation costs will be covered for all Austrians traveling from farther away. Anyone whose commute takes less than 45 minutes is asked to sleep at home. Since there are some changes this year, the event’s theme is “The Future of WASH.” The content is also based on the survey conducted last year, which many of you kindly completed.

• Introducing the new WASH team

The event will be conducted primarily in English. Please register by latest 11 September 2026, but please register as soon as possible. A limited number of rooms (shared double room) is available and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis until the reserved room block is fully booked.
