European Network for Psychosocial Support - Organisation

Who can join us?

Each National RC/RC Society in Europe is invited to participate in the ENPS network. The member National Society (NS) appoints one focal person for the network. The focal person in the NS is working in the field of Psychosocial support (PS) on a national level. The network organizes an annual forum and has a steering committee to work with the every day issues.

Steering committee (SC)

A steering committee is appointed from the members in the network and has the following main tasks:

 

A Steering Committee with 5 to 7 people is appointed from the members of the network. The SC is lead by focal NS with a specific role in coordinating the network and the SC. Members to the SC are appointed for four years, all members have to carry their own costs in relation to participating in SC meetings: travel, accommodation, telephone, internet etc. Focal  national societies have to guarantee at least 25% of a position in order for the coordinator to fulfill the task, and all costs such as office space, computer, internet, telephone and other relevant costs. It is important to have a geographical spread of the SC members in order to have a broader view of different aspects in PS all over Europe. National Societies are invited to help other National Societies in order to facilitate their participation.

The SC will have meetings 2-4 times a year.The SC will share the different tasks within the group. It is important all members are ready and capable of investing time to work with the network issues in between the meetings. Working language in the SC is English.
