The Austrian Red Cross actively participates in the European Civil Protection Mechanism. The EU offers various training courses, which are open to selected experts from the Austrian Red Cross who are available for deployment in the framework of the ECM.

A number of non-profit / non-governmental organisations and international organisations offer education and training in the field of crisis and disaster management. The AutRC, in cooperation with its co-partners within the RC movement, offers appropriate training for target groups in the governmental and NPO/NGO sectors.
